Live the Dream
Florida's Forgotten Coast is the answer to all your dreams. Owning your private beach home on a remote island in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of the Florida Panhandle is now a very real possibility. Real estate values have never been better. Whether you are interested in distressed properties, foreclosures, short sales, or just a really good deal - you can find the right investment for you on St. George Island.
Your Next Home: St. George Island
Beautiful St. George Island lies just south of Apalachicola, the quaint seafood town that's home to world famous oysters, and 45 minutes south of Tallahassee and east of Panama City, Florida. Our island paradise is about 360 miles south of Atlanta and southeast of Birmingham. St. George Island (SGI) is the laid back paradise you have dreamed about - nature trails, bald eagles, kayaking, bicycling, hiking, birding, dolphin watching, palm trees, fishing, and miles and miles of beautiful uncrowded white beaches. Fresh fish, shrimp, oysters, and crab are served up daily in locally owned restaurants or you can catch and cook your own like the locals do. St. George Island is the place to relax and enjoy your family, friends, and nature.
Come Explore and Enjoy
SGI real estate consists primarily of single family homes, a townhome complex and a condo complex - all of which are either full time residences, vacation rental homes, or second homes. To spend just a night or two to explore our island there's the Buccaneer Inn and St. George Inn. We have no high rise buildings or traffic problems. All restaurants are locally owned and operated as are the shops and grocery stores. Our close knit, active community consists of roughly 700 permanent residents who welcome and enjoy our visitors throughout the year.
We Can Help
My wife and I bought our island home in 1997 and moved here permanently in 2003. We hope you will decide to visit and fall in love with St. George Island just as we did. Please explore my website and contact me with any questions or interest you have in the Forgotten Coast of Florida.
